In Halden a car is a way across a sealed city, a boot to load and a gauge to watch. Now it is also something you build onto. This page says what is in the game today and what is still on the road.

Milestone 12
What is built, and what is coming.
Milestone 12 is in progress. Everything on the left is in the game now. Everything on the right is still on the way, and says so.
Built
- Fitted cars: armour plates in two tiers that can break, a ram bar, window grilles and a roof rack.
- Hits land where they land: a round finds the tyre, the engine, the glass or the plated flank, and a ram is settled in one place.
- In co-op, fitted and damaged cars look the same to every player, late joiners included.
- Two express roads across every city, with a median and rails, over the arterials you already know.
- Street decor along every pavement that you can smash: meters, boxes, bollards, cones and barriers, booths, boards and bags.
- Other drivers on the road: patrols and trips, never more than a few cars live at once.
On the road
- Garages: a place to keep, repair and upgrade a car.
- Traffic and pursuers: convoys, and raiders who give chase.
- Motorbikes and bicycles you can ride.
- Boats on the river and in the harbour.
- Blocked roads, to clear or to find a way round.
- Fighting from and against vehicles, and a camper van as a base that moves.
Fuel stays easy to find. Driving is never rationed, and nothing about a car wears out just from being used.
The express road
A long drive is its own adventure.
Two express roads cross every city, over its busiest arterials, with a median and rails to keep you honest.
Headlights are all you have, and everything beside the road can hear the engine.
Build it on
Plates, a ram bar, a roof rack.
Armour plates go on the front, the sides and the rear, in two tiers. A ram bar goes on the nose, grilles over the glass, and a roof rack carries what the boot cannot. Plates can be broken, so the car you trust is the car you looked after.
In co-op, a car you fit is the same car for every player in the crew, and for whoever joins late.
